It is darker than it appears in the picture more of a offwhite than white on the background. I did not realize that you needed a undershirt to wear this dress so really it is not a spring dress more of a fall dress. It is open all the way to the belly button. I probaby would not have purchased if I realized that you had to have a shirt under it.
