I’m 5’2, 125lbs. I ordered a small. No give at the waist. It has a zipper and a hook. It was a little tighter there than I expected, but fit around the small of my waist, rather than hanging from the hips (as I had hoped).
It’s way too long for me. It’s currently being altered by my seamstress. In the pic/vid I’m wearing a show with heels, and you can see it’s still long enough that I kept stepping on it.
So the option “true to size”, it’s hard to answer. Smaller than I expected in the waist, and longer than I expected… so smaller and also bigger. lol
I love how it’s gathered and flowy. I can’t wait for it to be ready to wear! Joyfolie is always excellent quality!

I ordered a size L and it fit perfect. I’m 5’7” and 185lb
No stretch to it, but has a zipper on the side.
