Rowan Leather Combat Boot in Distressed Black

It was love at first sight when I saw these babies! I didn't like the price so I was hesitant for months. Even with the mark down I kept hesitating. When I realized I could miss out once my size sold out, I acted right away and got them. They're incredibly comfortable, not tight nor stiff. True to size. I'd wear them every day if I could!

I held off on buying these for several months, assuming they would be tight, uncomfortable, the buckles would rub my ankles. I finally took a chance and they are PERFECT! Super soft and comfortable, true to size, and even cuter than the pictures. They go great with pretty much everything. So glad I finally got them!!

These boots are indeed very cute. But for the price (even on sale), I expected them to be higher quality. The leather is pretty stiff, in fact I wasn't even sure if these were leather or not, I had to hunt around to double check that fact. Most of the shoes I buy (I have a shoe obsession, so I have TONS) are NOT leather, so I am well familiar with the feel of "vegan" leather. These don't feel supple to me at all, and I wore them all day at a workshop where I had to move around a lot, and they were not super comfortable. I got my regular size, 7.5, and they fit, but they are a tad snug, and I have narrow feet. All this to say, that I expected them to feel higher end and they really don't to me. I kind of hate the "final sale" policy on so many items at Joyfolie, because how in the world can you tell if an item of clothing or shoes is going to work for you until you try it!! At the very least, we should be able to return something for store credit. $150 for shoes, even at half off, is a lot to get stuck with a pair that you don't LOVE. They are cute though, and the style is fun & unique., though like I said, I'd rather send these back and get something else that I do LOVE) I DEFINITELY wouldn't pay $300 for these though. I don't see how they are remotely $300 boots.

(Oh, and btw, I don't really perceive these as being "distressed" black... this is something I was looking forward to since I already have other regular black boots, but these are regular black, I don't see much…
