I'm 5'5", 150 lbs, and got a Medium. I love a long dress that doesn't make you feel like you're wearing pants! As someone who runs hot, I usually find that longer dresses can feel heavy or warm, but not this one. It's super lightweight and breathable, and I'd brave the LA heat in it. I think it's perfect for lunch with friends or family, but you could easily dress it up with accessories for a more formal event. My only callout is that the top runs a little large and puffed out a little on me. Luckily, the straps are adjustable, which helped me get a better fit.
