Alvara Top in Turtledove

This top is SO my style and so cute, I really wanted it to work for me. Since I didn’t know if this top runs large or small I decided to get a Medium and a Large. Neither worked for me. A large usually fits very comfortable on me and if the garment runs big I can wear a medium. This top is just a strange fit. It is a lot shorter than I expected, it was really tight in the arms (I don’t have large arms) and the back was huge. You can see in the photos that the model is wearing that it is big on her in the back. I was left wondering who can comfortably wear this top. Hopefully Joyfolie will be getting a better version on this top in the future.

If you are contemplating purchasing this top, JUST DO IT! It floats and drapes the body like a beautiful butterfly, and it pairs perfectly with bell bottoms and skinnies alike!

I just received my top today. It's definitely a gem. My only concerns are that the armpits seem just barely loose enough for comfort and the potential shrinking issue. If I tie the back, it becomes too tight so have to be carful to barely tie it. Directions say hand wash only. I say this runs on the small side, so if it shrinks I'm screwed :) I'm curious to try a large but am worried it will just get wider instead of longer and roomier in the pits. I ordered a M. 5'5" tall, 135 lbs, 36B cup. All in all, it's absolutely lovely, and I'd hate to ruin it because of it running small/shrinking.
